New Year's Resolutions, Part Deux

So, I have already failed. It took me two full weeks to write part two, even though I did warn that it would come whenever I damn well pleased.

Anyway, onto the resolutions!

6. I resolve to lose weight. This one is for reals. Here's some good news: I did 30 minutes on the elliptical today, bumping up from 20! Bad news: I had 2 drinks afterward. Half success, half fail. I am determined not to feel like a whale at the water park.

7. I resolve to drastically change my appearance. I want to dye my hair or something. Basically, what I am saying is that I want a change. I have looked like this since about the 5th grade, and I am not loving it. Proof?
See? Same thing, just add a few hundred pounds.

8. I resolve to try to clean my surroundings. So we want to sell this place, and more often than not, it looks like a tornado ravaged it. And basically, this is a resolution begging someone to buy, nay, look at, my house. No one even wants to see the place, let alone set down roots in it. Fine, this resolution is desperate at best.

9.  I resolve to keep in better contact with people. I have been slacking lately. In fact, if you get some annoying Facebook message from me tonight, you'll know why. I haven't been keeping up as much as I'd like, and now I am feeling like a craptastic friend. They'll all rue the day I made this resolve.

10. Doing something really ridiculous or extraordinary. This one is a long shot. But I miss doing amazing things, and I would like to do them again. Last amazing thing I have done? Coached at King's. Before that? Won MACs. Before that? Won Districts. My amazing things are few and far between, but I will give you some photo evidence that they existed:
Coaching at King's
Winning MACs
Winning Districts

See you again sometime. Sooner than later, if the resolution holds.

  1. I'd say having Lena and being a mama is pretty extraordinary! Don't sell yourself short, being a mom is hard!

  2. Valid point. I guess I should perhaps have specified something just for me? I think that is what I was going for, not completely sure though ;)
